Mike and Vered Hillel ...

... are Messianic Jews who immigrated to Israel from the USA in 1987. They have three married children and seven grandchildren. Both Mike and Vered became believers in Yeshua during their early teens and have served the Lord in many different capacities since then, fulfilling the Scripture, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Messiah you are serving. (Colossians 3:23-24). Michael and Vered also have diverse backgrounds that have established them in both the Christian community and the Jewish community. Because of this unique status and their comfort in both communities, they often find themselves serving as a bridge between two communities and given opportunities to teach the church about the “roots of their faith”.

Col 1:28-29 summarizes Mike and Vereds calling in the Lord We proclaim him [Yeshua], admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Messiah. To this end we labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in us. In order to equip themselves for this calling, Michael and Vered both earned a BA in Bible and Theology as well as a Master of Jewish Studies. Vered has also earned her PhD and three other Master Degrees, one of which was in Rabbinic Studies, leading to her ordination as a Rabbi in June 2018. Michael is finishing his degree in Rabbinic Studies and plans to receive his ordination as a Rabbi in 2019. Currently, Mike is the leader of a Messianic Jewish home congregation called Adonai Shamma. Vered is the Academic Dean of Messianic Jewish Theological Institute and teaches at various Colleges and Universities as adjunct faculty, womens groups and churches.
